Title of Program: Urban Fashion and Entrepreneurship
E-mail Address: Tpatten1@vols.utk.edu
Hometown: Chattanooga, TN
Year: Junior
Anticipated Graduation Date: 2020
Description of Program: The culture of street wear in the urban communities has branched out to so much that it is basically running the economy in urban communities as well as driving the art scene. Streetwear brands have way more control over urban communities then we think. Some will rob, kill, steal and start selling drugs just to keep up with the fashion. That's the two things that will make people go crazy. Hype and fashion are a deadly combination that run the streets in the urban community. My emphasis on urban fashion and entrepreneurship will discover the intersection between two. Providing and answer of why people act this way over fashion and create a new way of doing things in the realm of streetwear culture.
