Description of Program:My program creates an interdisciplinary blend that combines three distinct focuses from various disciplines, aiming to maximize my potential as an entertainment lawyer. Coursework is structured to provide a contextual understanding of business operations and corporate dynamics. Furthermore, music also serves as a fundamental component of myprogram, allowing me to gain an understanding of the creation, interpretation, and associated legal entities. Political science complements this by offering a pre-legal understanding of laws and government enforcement. Together, these disciplines afford me afundamental understanding of each, preparing me for my future endeavors.

Plans After Graduation (career, graduate/professional school, etc.): After I graduate, I plan on pursuing a career as an Entertainment Lawyer, a goal I am eager to achieve through my degree and upcoming law school endeavors. Specifically, I aim to specialize in cases dealing with legal issues surrounding the entertainment and sports industry. This major enables me to delve into the foundations of music, business, and political science, all of which are equally crucial in my career. This degree holds the potential to provide me with the knowledge necessary to understand the intricacies of my clients’ music or business while also offering legal assistance.

Research Experiences or Internships: During the summers and falls of 2023, I had the privilege of interning at the Tennessee Valley Authority, focusing my efforts within the external relations department. During this time I developed and executed a forward-looking TVA reporting system, integrating machine learning algorithms for real-time insights, enhancing adaptability to market dynamics. I also engaged in the development and delivery of presentations focused on the implementation of solar-powered energy sources and electric vehicles.

Part-time Employment; Hobbies; Campus Clubs/Activities: Presently, I hold a position as an office assistant at The University of Tennessee. Outside of work, I enjoy creating music, writing poems, reading, and playing intramural sports. I am also passionate about contributing to my community through volunteer work with Keep Knoxville Beautiful.

Any Other Information to Add? I am honored to be an initiate of the Mu Iota chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. Currently, I hold the position of President within Brothers United for Excellence, a role that allows me to foster unity and excellence among our members. Additionally, I am an active member of the Black Student Union, where I contribute to initiatives aimed at supporting and empowering black students on campus.
