Description of Program
As museums grow and evolve, they face many issues in becoming more equitable for all people. I feel they most often fall short in their accessibility, especially access for people with disabilities. There are countless ways that the world around us is becoming more accessible, and my goal is to learn as many of these as possible and adapt them to the museum environment. Through my coursework, I aim to learn not only how to increase accessibility, but also how museums themselves function as businesses and community organizers. I hope to eventually be an expert on increasing museum accessibility and this program is my path to that goal.
