I designed my program to explore the interdisciplinary nature of forensic neuropathology, which is a field where autopsies are performed to determine unknown causes of death related to the nervous system and the findings are applied across various contexts. My program combines coursework and hands-on learning experiences that will help me explore how different neurological abnormalities, such as neurological disorders, toxin exposure, and physical trauma, contribute to mortality and play a role in forensic investigations, criminal trials, and public health initiatives.

I plan to study abroad during a summer term

I am a clinical intern at the Tennessee Memory Disorders Clinic where I administer cognitive assessments and learn about how neurodegenerative disorders are diagnosed and managed

I work as a nursing technician and a volunteer at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. I also volunteer with Child Life at Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital. At UTK, I am a member of the Chancellor’s Honors Program and serve on the University Honors Student Advisory Board. In my free time, I love running, baking, and watercolor painting.
