Description of Program
My program, Nutritional Advocacy in the Healthcare System, combines pre-medical coursework with studies in nutritional science, public health, research, and persuasive health communication. The goal of my program is to better understand the role nutrition plays in chronic disease prevention and patient care while exploring current gaps in nutritional education within healthcare systems. Through this interdisciplinary approach, I hope to develop both the scientific knowledge and advocacy skills necessary to promote more holistic and preventative approaches to medicine.

Research Experience or Internships
Interned at Heart of Illinois Obstetrics & Gynecology, where I shadowed physicians, sonographers, and nurses while assisting with patient check-ins, vitals, documentation, and patient flow.
