Research Experience or Internships

My first research-oriented experience was during a summer program funded by the Department of Education titled Governor’s School for the Integration of Biological and Statistical Sciences, hosted at East Tennessee State University. The main research topic was COVID-19 mortality rates, and the data was provided via surveys from Stony Brook University. Data from COVID-19 patients included factors about hospital conditions, comorbidity of pre-existing conditions, and general lifestyle and health factors.
