Description of Program
My program synthesizes the foundations of a Bachelor of Music degree with the curriculum of the Entrepreneurship and Leadership Studies minors. The music world is ever-evolving, and it is often difficult for musicians to keep up with and adapt to those changes. As a prior Vocal Performance major, I have a passion for classical art song and musical theatre repertoire, but also have a strong fascination with arts advocacy and how we as today’s musicians can impact the industry we are working in. Music is an incredibly collaborative industry, and the limits to what can be accomplished are endless. Ultimately, I plan to learn how to create businesses that benefit musicians, while adding credibility to my career through performance opportunities.
