Stem Cell Biology & Regenerative Medicine explores how to use stem cells and other cell-based therapeutics to promote self-healing capabilities of the human body. This program connects coursework with my past and current research projects, which study the potential of cell-based therapies for treating degenerative disorders (e.g., skeletal muscle loss, osteoarthritis, Alzheimer’s and other amyloid-related diseases).

I volunteer with Alzheimer’s Tennessee and work at Genesis Neuroscience Clinic with patients who have Alzheimer’s disease. I’m involved in the Jones Center for Leadership & Service through the Ignite Program and Leadership Knoxville Scholars. In my free time, I enjoy weightlifting, journaling, drinking tea, and watching Liverpool play soccer. You can occasionally find me watching videos of total knee replacements over lunch.
