Description of Program
My program analyzes the impacts of youth development on modern society and vice versa. Many issues in society begin in childhood either through adverse childhood experiences, negative mental health, substance abuse, or by exposure to any of these, and more. The goal of my program is to gain a broad understanding of theories and approaches to these topics by immersing myself in disciplines such as psychology, child and family studies, social work, and public policy. By better understanding child and youth development in the context of our modern society, I can research potential solutions and interventions to apply in my future career.
