Anticipated Graduation Date: Spring 2023

Description of Program: One can understand much about the African situation by studying the
processes of post-liberation economic development. So, my program is to study the relationship of public health policy in Eastern Africa through this lens.

Departmental Emphases: Public Health, Political Science, Africana Studies, Economics, and
Anthropology

Faculty Mentor: Dr. Katie Cahill

Plans after graduation (career, graduate/professional school, etc.): I plan to apply to national scholarships and fellowships and continue my studies abroad. I also plan to obtain a
Master of Public Health. My long-term goal is to work as a public health officer in Africa.

Other Academic Interests: African Studies, Human Rights, and History.

Study Abroad: I have not studied abroad yet, but I plan to visit Kenya in Spring 2021 to study
global health and human rights.

Part-time employment; Hobbies; Campus Clubs/Activities: I enjoy travelling, reading, and
learning about history - especially about Africa. I am a part of African Students Association and Students for Migrant Justice
