Anticipated Graduation Date: May 2022

Description of Program: My program combines the technical skills of planning with an understanding of human behavior in order to motivate change. Many lifestyle and structural changes need to be made to mitigate the effects of the current climate crisis. Change is difficult and for many people it is inconvenient or inaccessible. By understanding community sociology and how policy constricts or drives change, I will be able to promote more effective solutions in community planning.

Plans after graduation (career, graduate/professional school, etc.): I plan to go to graduate school for planning when I graduate

Study Abroad: I have not studied abroad yet, but I hope to go to Germany in May with the Sustainability department and to China next summer for a program on sustainability engineering and smart infrastructure.

Part-time employment; Hobbies; Campus Clubs/Activities: Employed as a life guard supervisor and swim instruction at the University of Tennessee Student Aquatic Center
