Description of Program: My program aims to study music within the context of the cognitive sciences.

Faculty Mentor: Dr. Jeff Larsen, Department of Psychology

Plans after graduation (career, graduate/professional school, etc.): I plan to pursue a PhD in music cognition. After this, I hope to have a career in academia, where I could engage in my own research and teach. By studying the perception of music and the neurological implications it has, we can further use it to advance mental health.
